Randy and Meagan Morgan are native to Virginia and attended college at Virginia Tech. While in college, they developed a palate and passion for wine from all over the world. After graduation, Randy and Meagan moved up to Northern Virginia to start a life and fell further in love with the Virginia winery scene. Upon visiting Naked Mountain Winery, they enjoyed the property, the history, and of course, the wines - and discovered the winery in Markham was for sale. Deciding to take a true leap of faith, and with the support of family and friends, they took the reins of Naked Mountain in August of 2010. Entering our 12th growing season with the Morgan family, we are excited at how much the vineyard properties have expanded (adding two vineyard sites), and how the tasting room has been enlarged (with an addition in 2017), as well as how the wines have developed and flourished (winning numerous medals and having been included in the Governor’s Case).
